The Arkansas Diamond Amateur Radio Club
Lindy became a Silent Key in October of last year, he is still and will always be, missed very much. He was really big into the hobby, always willing to help other hams, and I never knew him to miss a club meeting.
Here is a copy of his obituary:
Gunter R. "Lindy" Lindermeier of Petit Jean Mountain passed away on October 6, 2015, his 71st birthday, after a long struggle with cancer. He was born in 1944 to Otto and Irna Lindermeier in Furth, Germany.
He was an avid ham radio operator and often referred to himself as "the Petit Jean Ham." He leaves his wife, Lynne, his mother-in-law, Barbara, of the home, and his children Dan and Paula of California. Lindy's wish was to "give back" therefore, his body was donated to the Genesis Donor Program.
In his memory, his family suggests some random act of kindness to honor Lindy.

I didn't get the honor of knowing him as long as some others in the club did, but I will never forget some of his "isms". He used to say "Life's too short for QRP." or "I run 1500 watts and a little more if no one is listening.". He was control for a number of nets. Most important, Lindy had a great attitude. I hope everyone will join me in saying 73s for now WW5AA!
